MerchLoom vs Photoroom

Photoroom is an excellent everyday photo editor with a polished mobile app. MerchLoom solves a narrower job: turning a seller's whole product catalog into marketplace-ready images in one batch, paying only for the photos you process. If you edit photos daily and want design templates, Photoroom may fit you better. If you have 50–500 product photos and a store to run, this is what we built.

When Photoroom is the better pick

You edit individual photos every day on your phone, you want social-media templates and design tools, or you live inside an interactive editor. Photoroom is genuinely good at that, and pretending otherwise would insult your intelligence.

When MerchLoom wins

You process photos in batches a few times a month, not daily — so a subscription is paying rent on an empty apartment. You need the output for your store, so a free tier that forbids commercial use doesn't help you. And you want the whole catalog done in one run: cleaned, retouched, put on models, upscaled, sized for Amazon, Shopify and Etsy.
